Whether you use your garage to park your cars, as a repair shop, or as a craft/workshop, it is incredibly important to have the right lighting. These are the best LED garage lights on the market and are a great option to keep a space lit up while saving energy and money.
LED lights are the ideal choice in lighting as they are more efficient, power-wise, than filament light in lighting up a dark area. Reducing the electricity bill is always good and LED lights will reduce their power use up to 75% compared to regular shop lights.

WHAT WE LIKE
Replacing light bulbs can be tiresome and a pain to do which is why these lights do not require a lightbulb change. Just plug them in and you are good to go! They are incredibly bright and are equivalent to having two fluorescent lamp fixtures. They are linkable, too. This is great if you have a large area you want to light up and installing the lights in separate parts of the garage is not feasible due to a lack of power plugs/outlets.
They are also easy to install. Just hang them up (they come with hanging chains and mounting screws), plug them in, and voila!
WHAT WE DONT LIKE
If you are not a fan of daylight white LED lights and instead prefer something warmer in tone, these lights, unfortunately, do not offer that – only daylight white. The design of the lighting is also troublesome for some garages – the tube that the LED light is fixed in is clear in color and does not disperse the different rays of light throughout the garage. So, if you’re looking at the floor of the garage, there are some bands of light and some bands of shadow – the light does not shine down everywhere.
PROS
- No lightbulbs to change
- Bright – equivalent of having two fluorescent lamp fixtures
- Easy to install
- Five-year warranty
- Linkable
CONS
- Come only in daylight white light tone
- The light is unevenly dispersed with bands of shadow

If you live in a tougher, humid climate or your garage is prone to mildew or leakage, these Hyperikon lights are the perfect LED garage lights for you. It is hard to go wrong with high performance, long life, low maintenance, and energy saving in your garage lighting system.
WHAT WE LIKE
Rated as IP65-waterproof, these lights are protected against fire hazards and electrical shock which, if you live in a place that can easily flood, is humid, or has the potential to leak a lot, these lights are ideal in comparison to others on the market. These lights provide 125 lumens/watt which means they are incredibly bright (but not so bright that you are blinded when looking at them). They are hassle-free to install and can be installed via chain links to the ceiling (included) or mounted to the ceiling or wall.
WHAT WE DONT LIKE
Hyperikon is no longer in business (due to fraud and money laundering, not bad products) which means that while the lights are still for sale from another retailer if they go bad, there is no warranty or company around to replace them or offer a refund. So, it is bought at your own risk.
PROS
- IP65 waterproof
- Bright lighting
- Hassle-free and easy to install
CONS
- No warranty
- The company is out of business
3. TANBABY Garage Light LED
Specification
Light fixture form | Close to Ceiling |
Indoor/Outdoor Usage | Indoor |
Power Source | DC pluged |
Room Type | Office, Basement, Patio |
Material | Aviation Aluminum |
Features
- Three adjustable light wings
- 360º light range
- 60 watts
- 6000 K
- White daylight
Designed differently than the traditional garage light, these lights have three heads which are 90º adjustable each for a 360º light range. Saving up to 60% of energy compared to traditional, non-LED lighting systems, these lights are perfect for workspaces with weird angles and dark corners since they have the ability to light up every feature in the room.
WHAT WE LIKE
These lights will not flicker and have a soft yet bright light which, if you work under them for long hours at a time, your eyes will appreciate you for. If you work in your garage and feel that the light never hits your workstation correctly, these lights are adjustable and can be formed to fit your needs.
WHAT WE DONT LIKE
They might mess with your garage door. One past purchaser messed around with his lights/door and figured out that, “It is very likely a cheap power supply inside the unit that puts out RF interference somewhere around 390MHz.”
If the lights go out or cause you problems, good luck getting in touch with the company to begin with – little on getting an exchange or refund with the warranty. The customer service is virtually non-existent and no warranty refund or exchange has been granted to this day.
PROS
- Non-flicker and soft bright for eyes
- Deformable design – you decide the light direction
CONS
- Messes with garage door opener
- No customer service, warranty, refund, or exchange
4. Sunco Lighting LED Shop Light
Specification
Light fixture form | Pendant |
Switch Installation Type | Surface |
Room Type | Office |
Color | 5000k Black |
Features
- 4-feet long
- Linkable Industrial Utility Fixture
- 5000K Daylight
- 40 watts
- 4000 lumens
- Hanging/Mounted
- Pull Chain
- Energy Star 2 Pack
These LED lights have a frosted cover and are top of the market for their kind. Coming in daylight white, they are bright, ever-lasting, and have a pull chain to make turning them on and off even easier.
WHAT WE LIKE
These lights are made from commercial-grade material which helps them achieve an energy star certification. They are incredibly easy to install and can be mounted to the ceiling or hung from it with chains. You can also link up to four Sunco lights together for easy lighting.
WHAT WE DONT LIKE
The warranty is incredibly difficult to get – there is no phone number or contact info for the company (that is made obvious for the customer, anyway) to get in touch with the company, to begin with. If/when you are able to get a hold of the company, they make the stipulations difficult/near impossible to comply with in order to receive the refund or exchange the light. For example, if the light dies on you after working only 100 hours, they will find a reason not to give a warranty for it.
PROS
- Linkable
- Commercial-grade material certified
- Easy to install
- Mountable two ways
CONS
- The company is difficult to get ahold of
- Warranty is a joke
Final Verdict
If you want to use the best LED garage lights on the market, choose the Hykolity LED Shop Light. It is not only because it can be mounted in multiple ways, but also considering it is linkable, quick to install, does not require lightbulbs, and are long-lastingly bright.
These lights are versatile in that they can be mounted to the ceiling or hung from the ceiling depending on your preference and necessity. The package includes sturdy chains and S hooks, as well, if you do choose to hang them from the ceiling.
If having two lights across the room in the garage is not feasible due to a shortage of outlets in the garage, these LED lights are linkable to up to four fixtures to ensure that your garage is covered in light – regardless of how many power plugs are in the wall.
These lights are quick and easy to install. They already come with all of the components necessary to install them regardless of how they are mounted – hanging chains, mounting screws, etc. Just hang them up, plug them into the wall, and let there be light!
These lights also do not require you to change a lightbulb – ever. Once they are plugged into the wall, that’s the last time you will need to do anything to make them work. You will never have to change a lightbulb on these fixtures.
Having bright lights is incredibly important when the garage is used as a repair or workshop to ensure that there is enough light shining down on the project at hand. Each of these LED fixtures is equivalent to two fluorescent lamp fixtures making their 5000 K /42 watts feel even brighter.
